Car shopping

At least now, we have a rental that can safely fit all 4 of us. Tonight, we are going car (minivan) shopping. We will probably buy a Toyota Sienna or Honda Odyssey. What do you think? Anyone drive either of those minivans?

Ooo...

My sis has the Odyssey. I think it's a great car in terms of room and all sorts of cubby holes to put kid stuff in (drinks, snacks, baby wipes, diapers, etc.). I'm always amazed at all the stuff my sis can pack in that car for her family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids)

I'm also biased towards Honda, 'tho. Their quality has never let anyone I know down, and my CRV hasn't given me any problems. If you get the Odyssey (nudge, nudge ;) make sure you get one that's got all Japanese parts and was assembled in Japan too.

How exciting to go car shopping! Yay! :-)

Good luck Katherine. I don't have either, but I have a Chevy Uplander minivan and I love it!

We just, about a month ago, bought a 2006 Honda Odyssey. I totally dragged my feet because I didn't want to be a "minivan mom" and we were downsizing from an ultracool Suburban. All that said, I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. We got the model below the touring model so we don't have the built in DVD, navigation system or automatic trunk door.

We, too, were deciding between the Sienna and the Odyssey but went with the Honda because: 1) better safty ratings 2) better gas mileage 3) better resale value (at least in our area) 4) it looked cooler in my opinion.

Anyway, good luck and let us know what you decide!
